Kenneth Ard McLeod, age 64 of Rome and formerly of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at his residence.
Kenneth was born on December 13, 1949 in Decatur County, Georgia, son of David McLeod and the late Geneva Ard McLeod. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy High School in Brunswick, Georgia, attended Georgia Southern College and served in the United States Army. He was a former member of the Belmont Baptist Church.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife; Fay Gilmore McLeod of Rome, three sons; Matthew McLeod and his wife Christina of Roswell and Scott McLeod and his wife Laura of Mableton and Ashton Jones of Rome, four daughters; Sadie Dillard of Rome, Patricia Albury of Rome, Elisa Pickings of South Dakota, and Jennifer Black of Cleveland,Ga., two brothers; Wayne McLeod and his wife Ruth of Brunswick and Neal McLeod and his wife Holly of Gulf Breeze, Fl., one sister; Carol W. McLeod of Jacksonville, Fl., one granddaughter; Madison McLeod of Roswell also survives.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be conducted Saturday September 20th at 5pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. John Bledsoe officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 5pm Saturday September 20th.
