Kenneth “Ken” Harold Goss, age 77, of Rome, passed away on April 1, 2025.
Ken was a graduate of Cartersville High School. He worked in the hotel and restaurant industry, including the ownership of Pizza in the Round in Cartersville. He was an adjunct lecturer at Georgia State University.
Ken is responsible for the 2001 restoration of Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Calhoun. He became the presiding elder and worked diligently to rebuild the church’s congregation. During that time, he hosted a Sunday morning gospel music program on WJTH.
Everyone knew Ken for his love of history, his endless jokes and funny stories, and his willingness to help friends and neighbors.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Charlie L. Goss and Eunice Ashworth Goss, and a sister-in-law, June Lewis Goss.
He is survived by his wife, Anne, brother, Ronald M. Goss, Sr., and five nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home on Friday, April 4th, from 12:00 to 1:30 PM.
A brief graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in Fain Cemetery with Lee Hollingshed in charge of graveside rites.
