Kenneth William Franklin

Thursday, March 03, 2011 Kenneth W. Franklin, age 46 of Calhoun, passed away Thursday March 3rd in Augusta, Georgia. Kenneth was born September 9, 1964 in Dalton, Georgia. Son of Joyce Patricia Kirby Franklin and the late Charles L. Franklin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; Charlie Franklin and Dovie Bridge Franklin and Arnold Veston Kirby, Sr. and Viola Timms Kirby. In addition to his mother, survivors include; one son, Jarien Freeman of Chicago; five brothers; Steve Franklin of New Orleans, Keith Franklin of Calhoun, Randy Franklin of Mooreville, North Carolina, Jack Franklin of Crandall, Georgia, Stanley Franklin of Dalton; one sister; Patricia "Pat" Franklin Tatham of Calhoun. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday March 6th at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Childers and Rev. Pete Ullmann officiating. Pallbearers include; Cpl. Zackery Franklin, Cody Franklin, Spencer Franklin, Joshua Zabek, Sgt. Joshua Gilley, Matthew Hyde and Adam Childers. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery with Rev. L.C. Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday March 5th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Kenneth W.
