J.W. Vaughan

J.W. Vaughan, age 81 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday afternoon at Cartersville Heights Care and Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Cartersville. He is the son of the late Bruce Vaughan and Bertha Wofford. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was self-employed in the construction business where he did mostly residential work. He was of the Baptist faith and regularly attended the Sunday morning church services at Cartersville Heights. He is preceded in death by his wife Pearle Mae Pope Vaughan, brothers Dickie Vaughan, Richard Vaughan, and Hulon Vaughan, and sisters’ Sheilia Vaughan and Jolene Parker. Survivors include his brother Donald Vaughan and his wife Faye Vaughan of Lithia Springs, GA and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gravesides services will be conducted Monday August 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clyde McEntyre officiating.
