Julie Griffith Thomas, age 56 of Resaca, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 in Gordon Hospital. Julie was born on March 4, 1962 in Riverside, California to John Elmer Griffith and the late Joyce Darlene James Griffith. She was a member of Calhoun Church of Christ. Julie is survived by: her husband, Donnie Thomas of Resaca; two daughters, Sydney Thomas of Resaca, and Lyndsey Thomas Blackwell and her husband Jeremiah of Powder Springs, GA; step-daughter, Darla McEntyre and her husband Stan; her father, John Griffith of Decatur, AL; brother, John Griffith, Jr. of Decatur, AL; sister, Nita Looney of Decatur, AL; and two step-grandchildren, Marah McEntyre and Andrew McEntyre. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 4th at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Minister Jule Medders officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include: John Griffith, Andrew McEntyre, Shane Griffith, Justin Griffith, Garrett Cochran, and Stephen Morris.
