Julia Maude McGlamery

Thursday, April 21, 2011 Julia Maude McGlamery, age 90 of Calhoun died at 8:59 AM, Wednesday, April 20 in Gordon Health Care. She was born in Gordon County, January 28, 1921, daughter of the late DeForrest Phillips and Sudie Causby Philips. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, D.F. Phillips, Reverend Orlando Phillips ad Billy Phillips, Jamae King, Janell Phillips and Ruth Timms. She had formerly attended East Calhoun Church of God. She is survived by one son, Steven McGlamery and his wife Pam of Fairmount, two daughters, Sharon Reeve and her husband Bob of the Sonoraville Community, Jan Galmon and her husband Billy of Calhoun; two brothers, Morris Phillips and his wife, Margie of Calhoun, Reverend Kenneth Phillips and his wife Lisa of Calhoun; one sister, Connie Stewart and her husband Milton of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Sherri Luker and her husband Randy, Donna Reeve and her special friend Sharon Holder, Kristl McGlamery, and Steve McGlamery; one great grandson, Tyler Luker; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 22 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverends Jimmie Timms and Andy Witt officiating. Kristl McGlamery, Joy and Jamie Dodd will have charge of music, and burial will be Gordon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 9:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Active pallbearers are Steve McGlamery, Tyler Luker, Eddie Timms, Ronnie and Donnie King, Gary, Sammy, and Chad Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Hayward Bohannon, Harold and Cynthia Cochran, Lyle and Janell Dean, Robert and Mattie Sue Robbins, and the caregiver employees of Gordon Health Care.
