Joyce Parker

Joyce Parker, age 75 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Gordon Hospital. Joyce was born on September 1, 1941 in Hamburg, Arkansas to the late William Willard Pollock and Lura Dean Holland Pollock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Parker; brother, Ronnie Pollock; and sister, Floyce Pollock. She was a member of East Calhoun Church of God. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Nation of Calhoun; two sisters, Jewel Henderson of Resaca and Gaynell Bowman of Warner Robbins; sister-in-law, Rachel Kilgore; one granddaughter, Cindy Sikes; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Sikes, Brittany Sikes and Brandon Sikes; one great-great-granddaughter, Lillian Harmon; four nieces, Kandia Phillips, Christie Price, Amanda Price and Denise Blackwell; and nephew, Adam Bowman. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, December 9th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Tina Clements officiating. Brittany Sikes, Jessica Sikes, Joan Moore and the Pack family will have charge of music. Burial will follow in United Memorial Gardens of Dalton. Pallbearers serving will be Jess Byers, Kevin Phillips, Ray Caldwell, Brandon Sikes, Wyatt Haithcock and Willie Bowman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rachel Kilgore and Kandia Phillips.
