Joyce Greeson

Joyce Greeson, age 87 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Calhoun Health Care. Joyce was born on December 27, 1929 in Adairsville to the late Littleton Cooke and Beatrice Wilson Cooke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Tatum Greeson; siblings, L.C. Cooke, Pat Bowman, Betty Kinman, Van Cooke and Donna Marks. Prior to retirement she worked as a CNA and Dietitian at Calhoun Health Care for more than 25 years. She is survived by her son, Byron Greeson and his wife, Denise of Calhoun; one daughter, Lynn Langston of Calhoun; daughter-in-law, Denise Greeson; two sisters, Sue Lane of Rome and Karen Wigley of Rome; three grandchildren, Marshall Greeson and his wife, Felicia, Katie Dishroon and her husband, Paul and Kyle Langston; four great-grandchildren, Preston Greeson, Tatum Greeson, Addision Dishroon and Anna Dishroon also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 15th at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend David Nix. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
