Joyce Wofford Broyles

Joyce Wofford Broyles, age 73 of Resaca, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at her residence. Joyce was born on September 25, 1947 in Calhoun to the late Harrison Wofford and Gertrude Barnett Wofford. She was a devoted member of Sugar Valley Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Junior Broyles; and a son, Michael Broyles. She is survived by two sons, Chris Broyles and his wife Melody of Resaca, Duane Broyles and his wife Shari of Spencer NC; daughter, Keisha Daniel and her husband Jamie of Calhoun; sister, Glenda Faye Timms and her husband David of Rydal; eight grandchildren, Aaron Broyles, Andrew Broyles, Adam Broyles, Weston Brown and his wife Mandy, Nicholas Broyles, Katelyn Blackmon, Tyler Blackmon, and Jonathon Broyles. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 5th at 12 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Mitch Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 5th from 11 AM until the funeral hour at Thomas Funeral Home.
