Joyce Ellen Brown

Joyce Ellen Brown, age 56, of Sugar Valley died at 8:45 AM, Saturday, October 4 in the Shepherd Hills Nursing Home of LaFayette. Joyce was born, July 6, 1958 in Lynch, Kentucky, a daughter of Willis Brown and the late Mildred Shoup Brown. She had lived in Gordon County since October 12, 1990, and was of the Pentecostal Faith. Joyce is survived by her father, Willis Brown of Sugar Valley; three sisters, Virginia Waycaster, Linda McKnight, and Debra Wyatt; six brothers, Lewis Brown, Jack Brown, Lester Brown, Carlos Brown, John Brown, and David Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 7 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend J.B. Ezell officiating. The family will receive friends Monday October 6 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
