Joyce Ann Lingerfelt

Joyce Ann Lingerfelt, age 70 of Plainville, GA, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at AdventHealth Gordon.

Joyce Ann was born on July 7, 1951 in Rome, GA to the late Lawrence Luther Wright and Coy Elizabeth Butler Wright. In addition to her parents, Joyce Ann was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Wright. She was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, Joyce Ann worked as a customer service representative for the City of Calhoun. She was an amazing cook, and everyone loved her vegetable soup and apple pies. She enjoyed gardening and could grow anything.

Joyce Ann is survived by: one son, Lawrence Wesley Lingerfelt and his wife Janielle of Taylorsville, GA; two daughters, Joanna Lingerfelt Wise and her husband Gregg of Ringgold, GA, and Margaret Elizabeth Channell and her husband William of Calhoun, GA; five grandchildren, Nathan Channell and his wife Allison, Ashley Channell, Owen Lingerfelt, Olivia Wise, and Jaylynn Ann Lingerfelt; and three great-grandchildren, Gracie Robison, Maddox Channell, and Koda Channell.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Steven Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in Scott Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving are: Wesley Lingerfelt, Owen Lingerfelt, William Channell, Nathan Channell, Gregg Wise, and Joey Brown.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 12 PM until the funeral hour at 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
