Joseph Withrow

Tuesday, January 06, 2009 Mr. Junior Withrow age 79 of 2834 Roland Hayes Pkwy S.W. Calhoun, died Tuesday January 6th. in Gordon Hosptial. Mr. Withrow was born in Murray County on July 26, 1929 son of the late Joseph “Fate” Withrow and Frances Rogers Withrow. He was a member of the Oostanaula Baptist Church and until his retirement was employed with the City Of Calhoun Street Department and was a Farmer and an Avid outdoorsman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Edward and Ozle Withrow , three sisters; Opal Choate, Ethel Campbell and Essie Cook. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Frances Evans Withrow, one daughter and son-in-law; Vickie and Dale Bohannon of Calhoun, two sisters; Edith Burns of Rock Creek and Edna Byrd of Chatsworth., two grandchildren; Chase and his wife Shelly Bohannon and Connor Bohannon, one great-grandchild; Sophie Bohannon. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday January 9th. from the Oostanaula Baptist Church with Revs. Rick Langston and Larry Hogan officiating. Interment will follow in the Oostanaula Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Harry Evans, Tim Evans, Lavon Evans, Tab Gable, Jerry and Jacin Burns and they are asked to meet at the church at 9:45 A.M. Friday. The body will be carried to the church to lie instate from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. Music will be arranged by Hope Rogan, Scott Everett, and Jacin Burns. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday and Thursday Evenings.
