Jordan Eli Tatum, age 82 of the Ranger community died peacefully at 9:22 AM, Thursday, July 2 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Jordan was born in Gordon County, April 10, 1938, a son of the late Ralph Tatum and Annie Hardy Tatum. Also, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Silvers Tatum on December 8, 2019; son, Marshal Jordan Tatum; a sister, Syble Reece and two infant siblings. He was a former employee of Lockheed Aircraft and loved working on his pride and joy, his farm. He was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord, and a loving husband and father.
Jordan is survived by his two loving daughters, Donna Hales of Chatsworth, Carol Mattos and her husband Clifford of Calhoun; a brother, Ralph Tatum, Jr., and his wife Betty; five grandchildren, Daniel Nesbit, Megan Brandon, Brandi Wilson, Chandler Quinn, and Jessica Tucker; two great grandchildren, Kynlee Quinn and Maggie Brandon.
Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside of Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Billy Tatum officiating. Pallbearers are Wes Wilson, Chandler Quinn, Tracy Tatum, Chuck Taylor, Clifford Mattos, and Alex Hinojosa. They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM Monday.
The Tatum family and friends will assemble at Thomas Funeral Home at 10:30 AM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. In the event of rain, the service will be held at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home.
