Johnny Earl Parks

Johnny Earl Parks, age 68 of Sugar Valley, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Gordon Hospital. Johnny was born on April 26, 1948 to the late Georgia Callahan. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Carver Parks. Johnny was of the Baptist faith and has resided in Gordon County for 35 years. He is survived by his step-daughter, Tammy Couch of Sugar Valley; two step-sons, Dewayne Couch of Sugar Valley and Tony Couch of Resaca; Sister-in-law, Kimberly Carver of Sugar Valley; special friend Miss Lynn Walton; five grandchildren, Cody Couch, David Couch, Tiffany Couch, Haley Cornette and Morgan Couch, he is also survived by five great grandchildren. Graveside rites will be conducted on Monday November 7th at 2PM at Sugar Valley Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Perry Ball officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday November 6th from 2 PM to 6 PM.
