Johnny Howard Gravitt

Johnny Howard Gravitt, age 66 of Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Howard was born on March 4, 1951 in Gordon County to the late John “Ted” Gravitt and Mary Jones Gravitt. Howard is survived by his son, Michael Gravitt and his wife Melanie of Calhoun; brother, Tommy Gravitt and his wife Hilda; three sisters, Janice Cantrell and her husband Larry, Betty Mae Smith and Diane Randolph and her husband Bill all of Plainville; one grandson, Koty Gravitt of Carrollton, GA; special friends, Peggy Bradley, Leroy Hazelwood and Lee Burk. A host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 19th at 3:30 PM in Scott Cemetery with Rev. Ken Coomer officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 PM until the funeral hour at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
