John E. Verbeke

John E. Verbeke, 51, of Calhoun, Ga. died Saturday morning June 17th. at his residence. John was born in Mt. Clemens, Mi., on July 30, 1954, son of Bertha C. Schaible Verbeke and the Late John H. Verbeke. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving more than 17 years, retireing as a Staff Sargent. Survivors include, his mother, Bertha Verbeke, his wife, Virginia Verbeke of Calhoun, a son, Jeremy Verkeke and a daughter, Amy Verbeke both of New Baltimore, MI. a brother, Steven Verbeke of N.C., a sister, Susan Vogan of Mt. Clemems, MI. a sister in law and her husband, Laura and Terry Strong of Tacoma, Wa.Two Grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 21st. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Hudgens officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery, Calhoun, Ga. with full Military Rites. Thomas Funeal Home has charge of the arrangements for Mr. John E. Verbeke.
