John Thomas "Johnny" Bradley, age 66 of Calhoun, passed away July 12, 2011 at his residence.
Johnny was born March 28, 1945 in Bibb County, Georgia. Son of the late Donnie and Alene Stanfield Bradley. Johnny was a member of Sunny Side Baptist Church, Plainville Masonic Lodge #364 F. & A.M., a Scottish Rite Mason, Yaarab Temple, and Echota Vann Shine Club. He was a retired Automobile Body Technician and had formerly worked for Lockheed Aircraft as an aircraft paint technician. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Bradley.
Survivors include; his wife, Martha Carver Bradley. Three sons; David and his wife Jackie, Wendell, and Corey and his wife Katie Bradley. Two daughters; Susan Holden and Peggy Luther. One brother; Jimmy Bradley. One sister; Donna Sue Moore. Ten grandchildren; Amber Walker, Ashley Fuller, Christian Holden, Zach Bradley, Dustin Howard, Chase Bradley, Brett Bradley, Heather Defoor, Erin Luther and Dayton Luther. Nine great-grandchildren; Trent, Taylin, Tymber, Daytona, Anslee, Avery, Mason, Makenlee and Mia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 14 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverends Doug Moore and Max Carver officiating. Max and Jo Carver, Allen Fuller, Christian Holden, and friends will have charge of music. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home and burial will be in Fain Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and Plainville Masonic Lodge will have charge of Masonic graveside services.
