John Michael Sobczak

John Michael Sobczak, age 73 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2019 at his residence. John was born on February 16, 1945 in Ohio to the late Joseph John Sobczak and Lilliam Ollom Sobczak. He was of the Baptist faith and has been a resident of Gordon County since he was sixteen years old. John is survived by: his wife, Linda Barnette Sobczak of Calhoun; two daughters, Cindy Long and her husband David, and Brenda Williams and her husband Matthew; step-son, Eddie Cochran and his wife Martha; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren also survive. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Cochran officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are: Matt Williams, David Long, Dave Grimm, and Eric Ovalle. The family will receive friends after the service.
