John Madison Murray

Monday, March 09, 2009 Mr. John Madison Murray Jr., age 52 of the Red Bud Community died at 2:30 AM, Sunday, March 8 at his residence. John was born at Griffin, Georgia, March 11, 1956, son of the late John M. Murray, Sr. and Beulah Anderson Murray. During his working life he was a self employed truck driver. Also, he was a Baptist. He is survived by the mother of his children, Betty Murray; one son John M. Murray, III,one daughter; Melissa Murray of Calhoun, stepson, Bobby Murray all of Calhoun; three brothers, Robert Franklin Murray of Minneapolis, Randell Murray of Atlanta, and Anthony Murray of Calhoun; three sisters, Jane Kinsey of Dalton, Debra Beck and Teresa Higgins both of Calhoun; and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Gary Tate officiating. Burial will be in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles Rhodes, Greg Newberry, Joey Feltman, Johnny Richards, and Brian Kinsey The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
