John Newman Cronan

John Newman Cronan, age 88 of Ranger, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Chatsworth Health Care. John was born on November 18, 1927 in Lumpkin County, GA to the late Millard Cronan and Louise Burgess Cronan. He was a member of Miracle Temple Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jo Mullinax Cronan; five brothers, Lloyd, Roy, Raymond, Dennis and Floyd Cronan; two sons, Melvin Buff and Douglas Cronon; and daughter-in-law, Becky Cronan. He is survived by four sons, Jerry, Sammy, Billy and Glenn Cronan; two daughters, Hazel Cronan and Penny Bramlett; one brother, Curtis Cronan; two special granddaughters, Tasha and Lou Lou Nation; fifteen grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, December 18th at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Adrian Craig officiating. Interment will follow Campbell Cemetery with Michael Nation, Jason Cronan, Danny Blalock, Bobby Stone, Riley Stephens, Travis Cronan and Glen Cronan serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 3 until 9 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
