Jimmy Hall, age 74 of Rydal, GA passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Jimmy was born on January 19, 1945 in Plainville, GA to the late Bill Hall and Alice Kinsey Hall. Jimmy was a member of the Plainville Masonic Lodge #364 F&AM, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a Shriner and a member of the Yaarab Shrine Temple. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for over 37 years. He was also former county Commissioner and former Sheriff’s Deputy. Jimmy was a Gordon County foster parent for the last 8 years with his wife.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Tammie Carpenter Hall of Rydal; four sons, Hollan “Cosmo” Hall of Rydal, Chess Hall of Rydal, Richard Hall of Plainville, and Asher Adcock and his wife Sara of Alpharetta; sister, Irene Riesner of Calhoun; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Elizabeth Carpenter; sister-in-law, Teresa Hodgkins; and brother-in-law, Joey Eaker. Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his foster children also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 8th from 4 PM until 7 PM at the residence of Jimmy and Tammie Hall.
