Jimmy Davis

Mr. Jimmy Davis, age 64 of Calhoun, passed away on Friday, February 1st, 2019 in Erlanger Medical Center surrounded by his family. Jimmy was born on September 6, 1954 in Pickens County to the late Stewart Daniel Davis and the late Ruby Pierce Davis. He was preceded in death by his sister; Evelyn Gravely. Jimmy worked in construction for many years for Fairmount Poultry. He attended Life Song Church in Adairsville. He enjoyed being with his family and cooking on weekends. Jimmy is survived by: his wife Dawn Davis; his sons Jack West, and his wife Carrie, Jeremy Davis and his wife, Brooke and Stewart Davis and his wife, Dominique. Three Daughters; Rachel Glaze and her husband Griff, Gina Storey and her husband Randall, and Jada Davis and her husband Jermaine. Grandchildren; Reece Poe, Ava Glaze, Reagan Poe, Allan Glaze, Roczen Garland, Ethan West, Makayla West, Mia Bradley, Malachi Bradley, Austin Davis, Sean Davis, Molly Cole, Alley Cole, Jasmin Storey, Jordyn Storey, Penelope Davis, and Carson Christian. Two sisters; Wanda Davis and Lois Cochran. A special family member, Amy Lancaster, also survive. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2 P.M from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Steven Pearson and Rev. Mark Owens officiating and the Rev. Scott Southerland with graveside honors. Interment will follow in the Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mark Owens, Mike Boswell, Mike Holbert, Shane Brookshire, Jeff Poe, and Bo Skidmore.
