Jimmie Nell Smith

Jimmie Nell Smith, age 85 of Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at her residence. Jimmie was born on April 17th in Carroll County, GA. Daughter of the late Wylie Washington Garnette and Emma Marion Smith Garnette. Jimmie was a member of the Shannon Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lamar Smith, ten brothers and one sister. Survivors include; nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 11th at 12pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery in Rome. Pallbearers serving include; Bruce Carnes, Terry Carnes, Mark Colston, Barry Estrander, Dennis Thomas, Ronnie Colston, Mike Carnes, Leroy Taylor, Billy Thomas and Cody Franklin. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 10th from 6 – 8pm at the funeral home.
