Jewel Knight Marchionda

Jewel Knight Marchionda, age 92 of Calhoun, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at her residence. Jewel was born on September 24, 1924 in Pensacola, FL to the late George Vernon Knight and Mattie Mae Stokes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Armando “Max” Ceasar Marchionda; and her sister, Carolyn Joyce Knight Clines; brother, James “Dick” Knight; and brother-in-law, Dewey Clines. She was a member of St. Clement’s Catholic Church. Jewel, along with her husband, Max, were owner and operator of the Antique Shop for more than 14 years. Jewel is survived by her two nieces, Cindy Clines of Rydal, and Nancy “Teddie” Preston of Livermore, CA; and great-niece, Stacy Preston of Tucker, GA. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Father Louis Tonsmeire officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 PM until the funeral hour at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
