Jewel Dianne Griffin

Ms. Jewel Dianne Denton Griffin, age 81, of Calhoun, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at Advent Health Redmond. 

Ms. Griffin was born in Copperhill, TN., on November 27th, 1942, to the late Clarence Hughes and the late Bertie Lee Hughes. Prior to her retirement, Ms. Griffin was the owner and operator of Lum's Food Market. She was a very talented artist, and she exhibited her talents through painting and drawing. She enjoyed watching her gameshows and taking care of her grandchildren. 

Survivors include her daughter, Vickie D. Brock (Bruce Washington); one son, Denny Renay Griffin; her brother, Clarence Junior Hughes; two grandchildren, Brandon Marsh and Brionna Washington. 

In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Griffin was cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
