Jerry Ray Tate

Jerry Ray Tate, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at his residence. Jerry was born on October 25, 1950 in Gordon County. Son of Linnie Mae Tate and the late Joe Tate. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by; his mother-in-law Billie Pauline Nicholson and his sister Kathy Shoemaker. Survivors include; his wife Trenna Kay Tate of Calhoun. His mother, Linnie Mae Tate of Calhoun. Four sons; Nat Tate and his wife Jennifer of Armurchee, Jonathan Tate of Harrison County, GA, Jeremy Tate of Cooperas Cove, TX and Zane Tate of Calhoun. One brother Randy Tate. Four sisters; Joann Pass, Janie Tate, Sue Young and Sherry Banks. One half brother Richard Tate. Three sister-in-laws; Janet Anderson of Canton, Cathy Truitt of Conyers and Marie Thurman of Canton. One brother in law, Mark Arnwine of Calhoun. Six grandchildren; Emily Tate, Matthew Tate, Sarabeth Tate all of Harris County, GA, Mackenzie Tate Brooklyn Tate of Copperas Cove, TX and Jackson Corley of Calhoun. Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00pm on Friday, June 1st from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven Cochran officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4pm on Friday, June 1st prior to the funeral hour at the funeral home.
