Jerlene Goss McArthur

October 4, 2010 Mrs.Jerlene Goss McArthur, age 70 of Calhoun, died Sunday October 3, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Fannin County, Ga. on Dec. 8, 1939 daughter of the late James William and Ethel Long Goss. She was retired from Coronet Carpet and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by her husband Sigmund McArthur, a daughter; Shelia Ann Welch and a son; Terry Lynn Welch. Survivors include a daughter Michelle Holbrook and her husband Randy Holbrook of Calhoun, a brother; James Paul Goss of Chatsworth, four sisters; Marie Collis of Gainesville, Myrtle Thomas of Eaton, Betty Payne and her husband Johnny of Ellijay, and Jimi Thomas and her husband Don of Ellijay, four grandchildren; Corey Welch, Wesley Welch, Kelby Holbrook and Madison Payne. Memorial services will be conducted at 3;00 p.m. Sunday October 10th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Payne officiating.
