Jeffery Lee Akins

Jeffery Lee Akins, age 57 of Dalton, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Advent Health Redmond.

Jeffery was born on May 27, 1965, in Gordon County, GA, son of Joann Tate Pass and the late Bob Akins. In addition to his father, Jeffery was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Linnie May Tate, and a brother, Mitchell Akins. He was employed by O’Reilly and in his spare time enjoyed fishing and tinkering with cars.

Jeffery is survived by: his wife, Rebecca Anderson Akins; two sisters, Melinda Fisher of Chatsworth and Joy Townsend of Calhoun; and John Wage, Jr. who he also considered a son; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2 PM until 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
