Jeannie Roark, age 75, of Calhoun, passed away Monday morning April 13th at her residence following a brief illness.
Jeannie was born August 8, 1939 in Imlay City, Michigan, daughter of the late John Bailie and Vernice Witt Bailie. She was a CPA and owner-proprietor of the Calhoun Bowling Center. Jeannie was herself an avid bowler and supporter of the arts.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Herman Roark of Calhoun, four daughters; Karlene Welty and her husband John of Calhoun, Noreen Queen and her husband Ron of Calhoun, Bobbie Everett and her husband Dwayne of Cleveland, Tn., and Andi Hooper and her husband Tim of Fall Branch, Tn.. One brother, Brian Bailie of Tampa, Fl., and eight grandchildren; Bailie Greeson, Matt Queen, Sarah Welty, Sam Welty, Hope Everett, Cris Everett, Abby Hooper, and Andrew Hooper also survives.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday April 16th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Davis and Janie Aker officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include; Cody Greeson, Matt Queen, Andrew Hooper, Cris Everett, David Locke, and Sam Welty.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 4 until 8pm at the funeral home.
In addition to flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society thru the Relay For Life.
