Jeanette Whittemore Ruddell

January 8, 1943 — September 26, 2023

Jeanette Whittemore Ruddell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, passed away on September 26, 2023. She was born on January 8, 1943, to the late Lawrence S. Whittemore and Ollie Tatum Whittemore.

Jeanette led a remarkable life centered around love and compassion. Her career as a nurse spanned many years, during which she worked tirelessly at Hamilton Medical Center and Gordon Hospital. Her commitment to caring for others was unwavering, and she made a significant impact on the lives of countless patients.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Jeanette's warm and welcoming nature endeared her to all who crossed her path. She possessed an innate ability to make others feel appreciated and valued. Whether it was lending a listening ear or offering a comforting shoulder to lean on, Jeanette's kindness knew no bounds.

Her family meant the world to Jeanette, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Phillip H. Ruddell, who stood by her side throughout their journey together. Together they built a foundation of love and support that will continue to inspire future generations.

Greg Ruddell and Natalie Ruddell were truly blessed to call Jeanette their mother. Her nurturing spirit shaped them into the compassionate individuals they are today. Jeanette's love extended beyond her immediate family to include her brother Lawrence Whittemore.

The joy of Jeanette's life came from being a grandmother. Dane Roberts, Audrey Roberts, Elena Roberts, Wyatt Roberts, Declan Sullivan, Lilian Ramos, Tore Roberts, Sidney Ruddell, and Grayson Ruddell were the lights of her life - each one bringing their own unique sparkle into her world. She adored them unconditionally and cherished the time they spent together.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Dustin Roberts, and her nephew, John Forest Martin.
