Jean Evans

Jean Evans, age 88 of Fairmount, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 in Gordon Health Care. Jean was born on October 26, 1925 in Crittenden, Kentucky to the late Ben Hardin and Edith Stalions Hardin. She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church for more than 35 years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Bill” Evans; and two brothers, Clifton Hardin and Wilbur Hardin. She is survived by her son, Barry Evans and his wife Patricia of Ranger; her two daughters, Sheila Boling and her husband Allen, and Jaronda Evans; sister, Muriel Sosebee all of Fairmount; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00pm at Concord Baptist Church with the Reverend Sammy Allen and Reverend Chandler Boling officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Damon Boling, Adam Evans, Chad Headrick, Chandler Boling, Scott Stringer, and Monty Garland. Ms. Evans will be taken to the church to lie in state Friday, May 2nd from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and Saturday until the funeral hour.
