Mrs. Jannie Elizabeth Campbell O’Kelley , age 86 of Calhoun died early Friday, morning October 31st in Gordon Health Care following an extended illness.
Mrs. O’Kelley had lived in Gordon County since 1965 and was a member of the Sonoraville Baptist Church. She was born in Worth County, October 2, 1922, a daughter of the late Sidney Smith Campbell and Nina Jones Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Carl. B. O’Kelley as well as a brother Jack Campbell and son in law, Rex Smith.
Survivors include six daughter and their husbands; Delores and Richard Dean of Calhoun, Phyllis and Randall Willis of Albany, Janice and Edward Fowler, Carolyn and Gerry Weaver, Kay and Lamar Greeson, Carla O'Kelley and and her finance’ Mike Hill all of Calhoun. One sister; Ann Roberts of Calhoun. Thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday November 3rd and 11am at New Hope Baptist Church in Sylvester, Georgia. With Rev. Erle McMichen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Grandsons will sever as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening at Thomas Funeral Home from 5 until 8pm and Sunday evening from 3 until 6pm at the Roy Banks Funeral Home, 210 North Main Street, Sylvester, Georgia, 31791.
