Janet Elaine Johnson

Janet Elaine Johnson, age 62, of Calhoun, passed away Friday December 11th at her residence. Janet was born in Floyd County March 1, 1953, daughter of the late Clarence Womack and Verdell Frix Womack. She was a member of the Erwin Hill Church of God and a homemaker who loved her family and loved working for charities especially St. Judes. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Harbin Johnson, two sons, Ashley Johnson and his wife Karen and Brent Johnson and his wife Alisha all of Calhoun. Six grandchildren, Gabe Johnson, Noah Johnson, Brea Johnson, Errin Johnson, Lauren Conaway, and Mathew Pope also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday December 14th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Dwaine Shadix officiating. Lenny Volck will have charge of the music. Burial will follow in the Erwin Hill Cemetery with Rev. James Shope in charge of graveside rites. Pallbearers severing include Charles B. Prater, Randy Seabolt, Joel Hall, Jeffery Long, Edward Owens, and Dennis Womack. Honorary pallbearers will include, Charlie Allen, Jeremy Sisson and Johnathan Sisson. These men are ask to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 Monday. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 until 7pm at the funeral home.
