Jane Sims

Sunday, March 20, 2011 Jane Watson Sims, a former Chattanooga resident, passed away March 18, 2011 in Greensboro, NC. Jane was born February 27, 1923 in Atlanta, GA. Daughter of the late Tyre and Daisy Lee Watson. Jane was the first employee of Polysar Latex and retired from BASF. She is a veteran of the US Navy, having served during WWII. Besides her parents Jane was preceded in death by her husband, US Army Ret. Major Bill Hulen Sims; sisters, Mary Watson Christian, Frances Watson Jackson; brother Tyre Watson, Jr. Survivors include her son, Bill Hulen Sims, Jr of Greensboro, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jane Sims will be conducted Wednesday March, 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun, GA; interment will be at 2 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
