Mrs. Jane Logan Daniel, 85 of Calhoun, GA, left for Heaven on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She had fought a hard battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Jane was born in Gadsden, Alabama on February 28, 1933, daughter of the late Vester Lee and Mary Pursley Logan. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie F. Daniel.
Mrs. Daniel was a long-time educator, teaching in both the Calhoun City and Gordon County School Systems. She retired from the Gordon County School System after 30 years as an educator and Media Specialist. She had been a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church since moving to Calhoun in 1956.
Mrs. Daniel is survived by her only child, her son, Alan Daniel and his wife Gina of Calhoun, GA; twin grandsons, Clay Daniel and Logan Daniel and his wife Jennifer; great-granddaughter, Jasmine Daniel; sister, Mrs. Barbara Logan Whitt of Buford, GA; and brother, Joe Glen Logan of Gadsden, AL. A host of nieces and nephews also survive her. In addition to family, Mrs. Daniel is survived by her loving and exceptional caregivers for the past two-and-one-half years, Mrs. Rhonda Young, Mrs. Dawn Jeffrey, Mrs. Kellie Craig, and Mrs. Sabrina Thomas.
The family will receive friends at Thomas Funeral Home on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 1 PM until 3 PM with the funeral hour beginning at 3 PM with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery.
