James William Roy Templin, JR

James William Roy Templin, JR, age 73 of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at his residence.

James was born on October 15, 1950, in Gordon County, GA, the son of the late James William Roy Templin, SR, and Betty Joyce Parker Shephard He was a member of the First Apostolic Ministry of Calhoun. Before his retirement, James worked as a truck driver.

James is survived by: his wife, Nancy Walraven Templin; three children, John Biddy, Jamie Blackstock, and Tracy Stanley; seven grandchildren, Brandon Biddy, Ashton Stanley, Austin Blackstock, Caleb Biddy, Joseph Biddy, Makala Blackstock, and Sadie Stanley; two great-grandchildren, Branson Biddy and Brentley Biddy; and five siblings, Phillip Shepherd, Melody Jackson, Kenneth Shephard, Barbara Woodring, and Joy Harrell; and special friend, Phil Bryant.

 The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. Pallbearers serving will include Stacey James, Henry Cox, Brian Young, R.L. Callaway, Caleb Biddy, and Brandon Biddy. 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Silvers officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Church Cemetery.
