James Larry Phillips

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 Mr. James Larry Phillips, age 52 of Milledgeville, Ga. died Monday, April 21, 2008. Larry was born, June 9, 1955 in Lenoir, North Carolina, son of the late Robert Lee Phillips and Lorena Frix Phillips. Also, a brother, Donnie Lee Phillips, preceded him in death. Larry was employed as a commercial construction superintendent. Larry is survived by wife, GwynNett Phillips of Milledgeville; two sons, Justin Phillips of Rome and Jordan Banther of Resaca; one daughter, Courtney Phillips of Rome; his twin brother, Robert Barry Phillips of Rome; three sisters, Ila Hartsell and her husband Jimmy of Greenville, South Carolina, Annette Hamilton and her husband Wayne of Rome, and Jewell Eury of Rome. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Thursday, April 24 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Roy Adams and Reverend Leon Bowers officiating. Burial will be in the Erwin Hill Church of God Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Roger Faireloth, Allen Willoughby, Stan Brooks, Doug Roberson, Todd Dangler and David Hartsell and these gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:30 P.M. Thursday. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Thursday preceding the funeral service.
