Mr. James H. Hambrick age 59 of 109 Georgia, Dr., Calhoun, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at his residence.
James was born in Augusta, Ga. on May 17, 1948 and had lived in Gordon County for the past 34 years and was employed by the Gordon County Road Department for the past 5 years. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Mills Hambrick on October 15, 2005.
Survivors include two sons; Michael Lee Hambrick of Calhoun, and James L. Hambrick of Chatsworth, one sister; Joyce Shaw of Calhoun four grandchildren; LeAnn and Rebecca Hambrick , Matthew and Jacalyn Brackett, along with several additional brothers and sisters-in-law in Augusta, Ga. and Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 5, 2008 from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Parham Hammontree officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery near Red Bud.
The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday January 4th.
Pallbearers serving include members of the Gordon County Road Department.
