James Robert “Jim” Durow, age 80 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Jim was born on April 20, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Raymond F. Durow and Edna Heffron Durow. He was of the Lutheran faith, and served in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he was a machinist for Calhoun Auto Parts for over 30 years. Jim was a hard worker and good father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelva Jean Elliott.
He is survived by his three sons, James R. Durow, Jr. of Calhoun, William Dean Loftis of California, and Timothy Cordell Loftis of Calhoun; two daughters, Lucy Lay of Calhoun, and Bridgett Youell of South Dakota; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.
