Monday, January 22, 2007 Mr. James “Al” Bunch, age 75 of Adairsville died at 5:55 AM, Friday, January 19, 2007 in Redmond Regional Medical Center of Rome. He was born, August 28, 1931 in Gordon County, son of the late, James William Bunch and Mollie Lucinda Montgomery Bunch. Also, a sister, Helen Payne, two brothers, Ray and Jackie Bunch preceded him in death. He had served in the US navy for over 20 years and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. After retirement he had worked as a truck driver. James was a member of the Calhoun Church of Christ. James is survived by his wife, Erlinda D. Bunch of Adairsville; six sons, Keith Bunch and his wife, Sandy of Calhoun, Ken Bunch of Talking Rock, Kelly Bunch and his wife Teresa of Cartersville, Kris Bunch and his wife, Lorrie of Calhoun, Kevin Bunch and his wife DeAnna of Cartersville, and Kurt Bunch of Adairsville; one brother, Johnny Bunch of Ft. Myers,Florida; three sisters, Jean Searcy of Plainville, Kathy Swager of Ft Myers, Florida, Wylene Harbin of Adairsville; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 22 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Ministers Scott Sides and Robert Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery near Plainville with full military rites. Active pallbearers are son and grandsons; honorary pallbearers are nephews.
