Jacky Smith

Jacky Smith age 54 of Resaca, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Gordon Hospital. Jacky was born on October 3, 1959 in Gordon County to Helen Woody Watson and the late Leo Jack Smith. He was formerly employed by Cross Plains Textile. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Lynn Smith, and sister, Janice Ann Smith. He is survived by his mother, Helen Watson of Fairmount; grandmother, Mary Jo of Calhoun; son, Moses Lynn Ingle and his wife Rebecca of Silver Creek; brother, Jerry Lamar Smith and Loretta of Chatsworth; sister, Maria Annette Smith of Ranger; three grandchildren, Devin Ingle, Jacob Ingle and Eden Ingle of Silver Creek; three nieces, Grace Smith, Sunshine Kitchen, and Angle Thomason all of Chatsworth; five great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 12th at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Dwaine Shadix and Reverend Delmar Ledford. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Mylon Holbert, Mike Holbert, Troy Chastain, Billy Clark, Rembert Thurman, and Jim Smith. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral on Saturday from 12pm until the funeral hour at 2pm.
