Jackie Lee Lowery, age 59 of Calhoun, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at his residence after a three-month battle with cancer.
Jackie was born on December 15, 1959 in Whitfield County to the late Jack Lowery and Mary Isabelle Allen Lowery. In addition to his parents, Jackie was also preceded in death by a brother, Haney Olszyk; sister, Claudette Lowery Aviles; brother-in-law, John Jefferson. He was a self-employed autobody repairman. Jackie loved horses, trout fishing, and most of all his grandchildren.
Jackie is survived by: his wife, Pam Thomas Lowery of Calhoun; daughter, Meagan Lowery Blalock and her husband Cody; two grandchildren, Jack and Kate Blalock; brother, Abrie Lowery and his wife Elizabeth; two sisters, Susan Lowery Hughes and her husband James, Pauline Lowery Jefferson; nieces and nephews, Jaclyn Dell, Dana Dyer, J.D. Wilson, Tamara Szabo, Zach Walden, Tyler Walden, Jamie Wilson, Eric Thomas, Lynn Hopper, Gail Miller, James Jefferson, and Allen Lowery; mother-in-law, Catherine Thomas; sister-in-laws, Tammy Wilson, Laurie Burke; brother-in-law, Mike Thomas; special friend, Larry Kelly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17th from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, October 18th at 4:30 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Luke Morgan and Reverend Terry Timms officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Cemetery with Reverend Alan Miller in charge of graveside rites.
Pallbearers serving are: Charles Broome, Shane Brookshire, Warren Pass, Baron Baker, Stephen Hughey, and Brian Davis.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Ty Frady, Dylan Bolt, Greg Weaver, Scott Payne, Brian Long, and Dennis Elmore.
