Mr. Alexander M. “Jack” Wade III, age 84 of Calhoun, died Sunday evening October 25th. at his residence following an extended illness.
Jack was born in Gordon County on October 7, 1925 son of the late Alexander Magbee Wade II and Maude Clements Wade and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Davis Chevrolet for many years prior to his retirement from Lockheed after 20 years service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Tony and Duane Wade.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Bobbie Fossett Wade of Calhoun, ont daughter and son-in-law; Jackie and Steve Angel of Atlanta, one son and daughter-in-law; Timothy M. and Jo Dean Wade of Monteagle, Tn. two grandchildren; Beth Angel and Alexander J. Wade.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday October 27th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Brian Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include, James Moore, Billy Baxter, Frank Seabolt, Jr., Spence Causey, Mark Wilson and Max Parrott, Jr and Paul McEntire
The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 12:30 P.M. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
