Jack Winslow Sloan, JR, age 90 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at his residence.
Jack was born on July 26, 1929 in Clemson, SC to the late Jack Winslow Sloan, SR and Annie Brock Sloan. In addition to his parents, Jack was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Carolyn Parks Sloan. Jack was a member of the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church, and was one of the original founders of Carriage Carpets. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Jack is survived by: his son, Jack W. “Chip” Sloan, III and his wife Sandy of Calhoun; two daughters, Susan Sloan Pritchard and her husband Scott of Marietta, GA and Cherri Sloan Rains and her husband Brad of Calhoun, GA; brother, James Augustus Sloan of Clemson, SC; five grandchildren, Hanna Sloan Dean, Holli Sloan Jones, Brad Stone, Wyatt Stone, and Bo Clark; and five great-grandsons, Jack Dean, Judd Dean, John Dean, Jake Jones, and Jett Jones.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 11 AM in Fain Cemetery with Reverend Dave McDonald in charge of graveside rites.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 12th from 5 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
