Jack Thomas Jenkins, SR

Jack Thomas Jenkins, SR age 76 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his residence.

Jack was born on August 28, 1945 in Cartersville, GA, son of the late Jeff Davis Jenkins and Ella Gravely Jenkins. In addition to his parents, Jack was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Lizzie Dupree, Bill Jenkins, Jay Jenkins, Lula Hendrix, Joanne Jerrell, Howard Jenkins, Alice Parks, and Betty Gentry. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart while serving as a member of the 3rd Infantry, 82nd Airborne, 7th Rangers, 5th Special Forces. Prior to his retirement, Jack worked for the City of Calhoun as a lineman. Jack was an avid fan of NASCAR.

Jack is survived by: three sons, Derek Jenkins and his wife Michelle of Calhoun, GA, Jack T. Jenkins, JR and his wife Tonya of Calhoun, GA, and David Haggard and his wife Pamela of Calhoun, GA; one daughter, Sharrin Moseley and her husband Matt of Canton, GA; two brothers, John Jenkins of Jackson, GA and George Jenkins of Stockbridge, GA; one sister, Louise Martin of Moultrie, GA; eleven grandchildren, Ian Harrell, Zach Smith, Colby Glover, Derek Jenkins, JR, Tiffany Haggard, Joseph Haggard, Tamara Haggard, Kaylee Haggard, Amberley Moseley, Kendra Moseley, and Jack T. Jenkins, III; and two great-grandchildren, Kora and Kadence.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
