J. B. Garren

Sunday, March 02, 2008 Mr. J. B. Garren, age 77, of Calhoun. Died Saturday March 1st in Gordon Hospital following a sudden attack. J.B. was born in Gordon County on July 26, 1930. Son of the late Loftis and Elba Payne Garren. He was a life long resident of Calhoun and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Evelyn Carden Garren of Calhoun; One son, Bruce Garren and his wife Debbie of Rydal; Two daughters, Marlene Garren of Flowery Branch and Gloria Davis and her husband Jerry of Calhoun; Two brothers-in-law, Herbert Carden of Powder Springs and Glenn Carden and his wife Ann of Calhoun; Two sisters-in-law, Jean Hawkins and her husband, Helton and June Bearden all of Calhoun; Six grandchildren and One great-grandchild; two step grandchildren; one-great step-granddaughter.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday March 3rd at 4pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Jeter Cochran officiating.
