Iris Kathleen Hartley

Saturday, August 25, 2007 Mrs. Iris Kathleen Hartley, age 78 of the Scottsville Community died at 4:05 PM, Friday, August 24, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Iris was born in the White Community, January 24, 1929, daughter of the late Mike B. Guess and Alice Owens Guess. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Guess her husband Feb 15, 2004, Jack Hartley, and a daughter-in-law Sandra Wyatt on Jan. 31, 2007. She was formerly employed by Fisher Body of Warren, Ohio and had made her home in Calhoun since 1992. She was a Baptist. Iris is survived by one daughter, Martha “Penney” Jordan and her husband, Bo of Plainville; Two sons, Terry L. Wyatt of Plainville and Bradley Lynn Wyatt of Calhoun; three step-children, Jackie L. Hartley, Renee Smith, and Tommy Hartley all of Ohio; one brother, Max Guess of the Taylortown Community, four sisters, Faye Martin of Tunnel Hill, Gwendolyn Pendley and Christine Stone of the Taylortown Community, and Edith “ Phoebe” Sullivan of Silverina, Ohio; one sister in law, Ruth Guess of Tunnel Hill; 9 grandchildren, Terry Lee Wyatt, Stanton Wyatt, Tammy Wyatt, Tracy Hudson, Tanya McCollum, Nathan Wyatt, Brian Jordan, Christopher Wyatt and Tara Dyer; and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 27 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverends Terry Timms and Jimmie Timms officiating. Mable Harris, Iris Parker, and Mary Wilson will have charge of music, and burial will be in Haven of Rest Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
