Wednesday, December 16, 2009 Mrs. Hurlyne Kinman age 84 of McDaniel Station Rd, Calhoun, died Tuesday at her residence. Mrs. Kinman was born in Gordon County on Feb. 8, 1925 daughter of the late Clyde Newton and Blanche Rogers Carver and was a lifelong resident. She was a Lifelong member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Kinman, a brother Rayble (R.C.) Carver and a grandson Phillip Kinman. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Donald C. and Joan Kinman of Calhoun and Elwyn and Debbie Kinman of Adairsville. Grandchildren Dana and Cristina Kinman of Calhoun, Elizabeth Kinman Davis and her husband Jonathan of Adairsville, and Joshua Kinman of Columbus, Ga., April Childers and her husband Blake of Calhoun, Amber Scoggins and her husband Alton of Adairsville, great-grandchildren; Justin Brooks, Kam Childers, Cheyanne Childers all of Calhoun, Hannah McCoy and Kara McCoy and Ashtin Scoggins of Adairsville. One sister and brother-in-law: Marie and Wesley Robbins and one sister-in-law; Jo Carver along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday Dec. 18th. From the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Clinton Carver and Rev. Gary Garland officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Barry Saunders officiating. Gary Amos and Jerry Satterfield will have charge of the music. On Friday the body will be carried to the church to lie instate from 10:00 until 11:00 on Friday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday evening.
