Howard W. Hall, age 84 of the Sonoraville Community, passed away July 26th, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital in Rome.
Howard was born in Gordon County, November 27, 1929, a son of the late Benjamin Harrison Hall and Belle Stewart Hall. Also, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Don Hall, and two sisters, Frances Hall Davis and Mary Hall Thomas. He was a lifetime resident of Gordon County; a former employee of Lockheed-Martin Aircraft; a former employee of Brock Baxter; and former employee of the Sonoraville Middle School. He was a member of the Sonora Masonic Lodge # 221, Free and Accepted Masons and a member of the Farmville United Methodist Church.
Howard is survived by his wife, Jewel Pendley Hall; one son, Rick Hall; one brother Lee Hall and his wife, Lillie Mae; two sisters, Essie Holsomback and her husband Gene all of Gordon County, and Inez Bramlett of Ellijay; one sister-in-law, Helen Hall; two grandchildren, Shane Hall and Kristy Hall; and one great grandson Dustin Hall, all of Gordon County.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 30 at the Farmville United Methodist Church with the Reverend Tom Hartis officiating; Janice Steelman will have charge of music; and members of the Gordon County Masonic Memorial Team will serve as active pallbearers.
The Hall family will receive friends at Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday.
