Howard T. Hackney

Sunday, April 08, 2007 Howard T. Hackney, age 76 of Cisco died April 7 in Quinton Memorial Health Care of Dalton following several months of illness. Howard was born, April 23, 1930 in Whitfield County, son of the late Roy Hackney and Nancy Singleton Hackney. Also, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Hackney and sister, Ruth Muncher. He had also served in the U. S. Army. Howard is survived by one daughter, JoAnn Mitchell and her husband John David Mitchell; Three sisters Jane Casey of Dalton, Joy Hardin of Dalton, and Roberta Goble of Maryville, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Kendra Burk and her husband Kenneth; 2 great grandchildren, Skyler and Carlie. Graveside and Interment services will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 10 at Gordon Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jackie Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:30 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
